Questions

Can my staff use it too?

Yes, on the Team plan. Admins can do everything except billing. Staff can read POs and build quotes and variations, but they never see your buy prices or margins, and their quotes wait for you to check before they go to the builder.

What is the job room?

Each quote has a message thread shared with the builder through their quote link. It keeps questions, access times and updates in one place with the job, instead of scattered across texts and emails. Messages can't be edited or deleted, so the record holds up.

Will it read my builder's PO format?

QuoteMat reads the document itself rather than relying on a fixed template, so it handles different builders' layouts, scanned copies and photos. Always check the lines before you send. PO lines keep the builder's wording so the quote matches like for like; anything different goes on its own line as additional work.

Where do my rates come from?

From your price book. The first time an item appears it's added with the PO's rate and highlighted so you can enter your own buy and sell price and lock it. After that, every future PO uses your locked price. If an item has no rate at all, the line stays blank until you price it.

What does the builder see?

Only the quote you send: your sell rates, the PO comparison if you choose to show it, your reasons, photos and totals. They never see your buy prices, margins or other quotes.

Can the builder approve on their phone?

Yes. They open the link from the SMS or email, review the quote and tap Approve or Decline, adding their name and an optional note. You see the answer in QuoteMat as soon as it's in.

Where is my data stored?

In Sydney, Australia, on encrypted infrastructure. Each business's data is kept separate by database security rules. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I cancel?

From the Billing page at any time. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
